The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is nationally recognized for its support of military-connected students and its land grant roots. It is ranked #21 in the nation for Best Colleges for Veterans by U.S. News & World Report (2022-2023).

It is also one of 22 host universities that partners with the Warrior Scholar Project, which provides academic boot camps on campus to active duty service members or recently transition veterans that are unsure if the college track is the way they want to go.
