The University of Illinois School of Social Work MSW Outreach program was ranked #3 by OnlineU 2015 Top Online MSW Programs. Illinois received special recognition for offering a wide range of online MSW degree concentrations.
All OnlineU 2015 Top Online MSW Programs are CSWE-accredited and were selected using a synthesis of ranking factors that indicate a strong student body and competitive institution. The top 10 online MSW programs all have low acceptance rates, high enrollment rates, and exceptionally high student entrance exam scores.

The University of Illinois MSW Outreach program permits students with the necessary academic and practice background to enroll in foundation and advanced courses in online and blended (online with face-to-face components) formats. In this way, students can begin the program while continuing to work in their communities.
The Master’s degree provides specialized study for advanced social work practice. Degree candidates take foundation and advanced coursework in the areas of human behavior and the social environment, social work practice, policy, research, and field education. Concentrations are available in Advocacy, Leadership and Social Change, Children, Youth and Family Services, Health Care, Mental Health, and School Social Work.
