Students who are not formerly admitted to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are eligible to enroll in Summer Session online classes as non-degree students. Non-degree student registration will open for Summer 2024 on April 15, 2024.

Steps to Success in an Online Class at the University of Illinois
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s goal is to provide a positive, rewarding and successful online learning experience for students. To be successful in your online learning environment at the University of Illinois, review the following information prior to the class start date:
- Ensure your @illinois email account is set up.
- Confirm that your computer meets the technical requirements for online learning.
- Order textbooks (if applicable)
- Watch for an online course orientation email. Prior to the first day of class, you should receive an email from your instructor with information about the Learning Management System (Canvas, Learn@Illinois Moodle Service, etc.) and how to get started in your online class. The email will be sent to your University of Illinois email account. Contact your instructor directly if you do not receive this email before the start date of the class.

- If you need assistance viewing the online course, experience technical difficulties or require help with course related questions, contact your instructor by email.
