Course Description

This course is designed to help you understand the experience of disability related to using information technologies. It includes an overview of disability demographics, common disabilities and their impact on consuming electronic information, the use of common assistive technologies, and the legal landscape of IT accessibility. You will learn about typical operating system accessibility features, including Windows, OS X, iOS and Android mobile operating systems. The course will conclude with an opportunity for you to learn how to perform a functional accessibility evaluation of web sites and standalone applications. Course Information: 2 undergraduate hours. 2 graduate hours. This course is team taught.
