** Advanced Standing status is only eligible to students who have a Bachelors of Social Work degree from an accredited program with the Council on Social Work Education within the past 7 years.

Program Details and Concentrations

Master of Social Work (MSW)

  • Offered online, hybrid-online, and face-to-face
  • Prepares future leaders in social work to be problem solvers, critical thinkers, and advocates
  • Students are skilled in clinical competencies, consensus building, and navigating some of the most diverse organizational and community environments
  • Highly-ranked program designed to meet the demand for well-prepared macro and clinical social work professionals who work in a wide-range of traditional and innovative social work settings

Advanced Clinical Concentration

  • Focus on learning advanced direct practice skills to work in a wide variety of clinical environments
  • Students choose one of four focus areas to tailor their coursework:
    • Mental Health
    • Health Care
    • Schools
    • Children, Youth & Family Services.
  • Sample job titles: counselor, therapist, case manager, discharge planner, linkage and referral advocate, adoption specialist, community liaison

Leadership & Social Change Concentration (LSC)

  • LSC students are natural large-scale thinkers and innovators
  • Focus on learning the latest skills on engaging in macro practice, system and social impact, program evaluation, and  advocacy
  • Complete work that matches interests, talent, and skills within the broader scope of the profession
  • Unique training sets students apart to be social work innovators in non-profits, for-profits and government
  • Sample job titles: policy advocate, program director, executive director, political strategist, higher education administrator, public service leader, strategic planner, interventionist, consultant
